2018 Alan Marshall Short Story Award - AN HONOUR

Yesterday was the announcement of the 2018 Alan Marshall Short Story Awards - and I was over the MOON to be awarded the Local Prize for my short 'With Or Without Us'.

Dennis Coard delivered a full reading of the story, and wow. Surreal. Hearing the voice of Jack shaped and brought to life by Dennis was a somewhat out-of-body experience. I don't think I stopped smiling throughout the entire thing.

A huge thank you to judge and author Maxine Beneba Clarke, and Clare for putting together a brilliant event. Also congratulations to the other winners, whose pieces were truly beautiful.
